Last week, volunteers worked indoors and outdoors on the rehab on Central Park Drive in Woodbridge in partnership with family partners, Tesfaye Abuye and Wudasie Retta.

On Saturday, June 4, and for the third year, Habitat for Humanity Prince William County partnered with the Georgetown Village community for their annual cleanup day.

Armando - closing day

A year ago, the Board of Directors voted to approve Armando Vargas as Habitat for Humanity’s fifteenth homeowner. And on Friday, May 27, he settled on his property on Bragg Lane in Manassas. Sixty volunteers worked with Armando and Construction Team Leader, John Blake, to rehab the home over the course of five months, putting in nearly 1400 hours of labor. Habitat for Humanity Prince William County is rehabbing a home in Woodbridge in partnership with volunteers, the community and family partners, Wudasie Retta and Tesfaye Abuye.

The rehab started just a few weeks ago and already the roof has been re-shingled, the HVAC unit has been replaced, the electric panel has been switched out, the kitchen has been demo’d and the front walk has been replaced.
