Quantico Marines Chip In With Community Development

2nd Lieutenant Luke J. Parker with the United States Marine Corps organized 35 members of his platoon from The Basic School at Camp Barret in Quantico, Virginia, for a day of service on September 19.

They descended on the Village Gate and Georgetown Village communities in Woodbridge to paint retaining walls, curbs, speed bumps and wrought iron railings and to clear overgrown landscaping. This is a continuation of work in the community started in April with Bank of America volunteers and in July with employees from Greystone Corporation. Their service and hard work is extremely appreciated. Thank you, service members, for helping Habitat build a better community!

Thanks to Transurban and Fluor for their sponsorship of our work along the Route 1 corridor.
