On Thursday, May 8, through Saturday, May 10, volunteers Charles Jules, David Gross, James Hawkins, Tarak Kalash, Don McCubbin, Paul Whalen and Dave Williams, along with family partner, Zulfiquar Choudry, helped construction crew leader, John Blake, take down the unstable back porch roof and rebuild it; install attic insulation; and make electrical repairs at the Choudry’s Woodbridge home.

The Pioneer Club of Northern Virginia is holding a Community Yard Sale on the lawn at The Barn at Ben Lomond Community Center on Saturday, May 10, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon and are donating the proceeds to Habitat for Humanity Prince William County.

Habitat for Humanity partners with low- to moderate-income homeowners who live in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park to make exterior and interior home repairs that alleviate critical health, life and safety issues or housing code violations. Home Preservation includes minor exterior repairs such as the replacement and repair of trim, gutters, soffit, fascia, siding, handrails, fences, stoops and landscaping.

Saturday was a beautiful day for the Prescott Open House! Hundreds of people poured into the home to see the progress made so far. Thanks to Hugh Ickrath and his neighbors for donating the entry fee proceeds to Habitat for Humanity Prince William County. We are very thankful for the nearly $3,200 donated!
