Clark Construction Group Partners with Habitat PWC

On July 25th & 26th, Clark Construction Group came out to give Habitat Prince William a hand-up with the final touches on one of our properties in Woodbridge, so our partner family can prepare to move in!!! The two days began with a long list of tasks: stain back deck, fix dining room trim, frame & replace backdoor, finish baseboard quarter round install, install new smoke detectors, paint the ceiling in upstairs closet &hall, paint basement stairs molding, build breaker box door, install vent covers throughout the home, install basement bathroom fixtures, install accordion doors for washer/dryer room & furnace room, install interior door knobs, finish basement closet, paint the bottom half of dining room wall, caulk stairs to the basement, hang room doors in the basement, place shower trim in basement bathroom, and clean outside siding for front basement shutter installation. Whew!
This fantastic group did an outstanding job in assisting Habitat Prince William with several projects on Thursday, July 25th the group separated into two teams the first team set to work on making and painting the power box cover, installing the laundry room folding doors, installing the basement bathroom toilet and painted the bedroom doors to be installed throughout the house.

The second team framed and installed a new backdoor to the premises, touched up trim paint, painted the upstairs closet & hall ceilings, and installed new vents throughout the premises. It was a very productive day, even though rain had prevented us from completing any outside tasks.
Friday, July 26th, brought new employees to try their hand at Hyatt Place we had two that remained from the day before. Some jumped on the second coat for the dining room, while others painted the basement stairs molding, installed two smoke detectors, installed the bathroom sink, and installed shower trim and fixtures, the bathroom closet was completed, and one cleaned the siding so the outside basement shutters can be replaced. Seemed to be a much slower day since we were still unable to stain the outside deck because of moisture remaining from the rains the days before!!

Thanks to this crew, we are closer than we have ever been to moving our partner family into their new forever home! They could not be more excited and cannot wait to finish and move in!! Most of the list has been completed with a few remaining things, which we will try to complete by the end of August 2024.
