The United Way of the National Capital Area and a group of volunteers from Enterprise Car Rentals joined forces to help Habitat for Humanity on Tuesday, July 12.
The volunteers took down trees, picked up litter, painted and installed signs at the Hastings Center, the facility where the Habitat for Humanity ReStore – Manassas is located.
The United Way’s mission is aligned with Habitat for Humanity’s in that it strives to improve individuals and families lives and build strong communities.
The Enterprise employees and interns were building their team through their day of volunteering.
Clean-ups like the one that took place on July 12 are part of Habitat for Humanity’s Community Development work that improves the lives of many people in the community.
Community development projects improve the health and well-being of residents by revitalizing public areas, removing blight, improving water quality and generally giving residents improved access to public areas and a better sense of well-being and safety.
