Making a House a Home

Your generosity helps families in need of decent shelter through our affordable Homeownership and Home Repair programs. We are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally by constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
Giving a Hand Up not a Hand Out
We believe in giving community members a hand up, not a hand out. We do this by partnering with families who are in need, willing to provide sweat equity, and have the ability to repay a no- or low-interest mortgage or a portion of their home repair costs. Wages are not keeping up with the rising cost of living and many hard working residents struggle to afford decent housing. Typically, their total annual income is less than half the area median income.
All donations to Habitat for Humanity Prince William County are tax-deductible as allowed by law and will be acknowledged for tax purposes. Gifts made online are safe and secure. Click for more information about donating goods to the ReStore.
