On Thursday, July 17, Habitat Hero Sponsor, Greystone, sent 106 of its Warrenton, VA-based employees to participate in its annual nationwide “Day of Service” to help beautify public spaces as part of Habitat for Humanity Prince William County’s Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative.
Greystone employees rolled their sleeves up and dove into six Community Development projects from Woodbridge to Manassas.
Thanks to the Prince William County Department of Public Works who partnered with us to make these projects such a success. Their manpower, tools and know-how were priceless!
Thanks to Chick-fil-A in Manassas and Woodbridge who donated lunch to four of the work sites and thanks to Brixx and Wegmans in Woodbridge who donated lunch to two of the work sites! We are so appreciative of their generosity!
Thanks to the volunteers who picked up and delivered the lunches to the work sites: Bill Warner, Jennifer Decker and Melissa Maharaj!
Thanks to the team leaders for each site: Barbara Atwell, Sarah Slader, Dave Williams, Christine Suess, Debi Martin, Tim Hughes, Steve Strong, Kevin Nickson, Don McCubbin, Justine Barlow and Juan Alfaro!
Thanks to Hoadly Playroom Early Learning Center in Manassas for allowing the volunteers to park in their parking lot and to Sudley Manor House on Garner Drive who provided water and restroom facilities to the volunteers. Thank you very much!
And, of course, thanks to Greystone for helping us build a better community!
