Habitat for Humanity will make minor home repairs at the Point of Woods home in Manassas where Marie Anderson has lived for twenty-one years. Marie is a giving soul, the type of person to offer help to a neighbor, friend, or person walking down the street. She has been an avid gardener and loves to cook, sharing her baked goods and meat pies with people far and wide.
Habitat helped Marie and her husband Derek, who is now deceased, in 2012 with home repairs. In the last couple of years, in addition to Derek’s passing, Marie suffered a debilitating stroke which has made it impossible for her to take care of some exterior maintenance issues that the Homeowners Association has brought to her attention. Habitat is ready to lend a hand so that Marie has one less thing to worry about these days.
