Habitat’s Construction Superintendent is responsible for planning and implementing Habitat for Humanity Prince William County’s Neighborhood Revitalization construction programs, including home building, rehab, repair and community development projects. The position is for a “working superintendent” who can actively lead and participate in work alongside volunteers in the execution of Habitat’s programs.
Upcoming projects for this fall include rehabbing a two-story townhouse in the City of Manassas for our home ownership program in partnership with a family and volunteers. And, through our Community Development program, we will rehab a one-story cinder block building at East End Mobile Home Park to be used as a Resource Center.
Required skills and knowledge for the position includes comprehensive construction knowledge and understanding of the principles, operations, and management of construction. Candidates need experience managing, training and motivating volunteers. Candidates should also have moderate computer skills, including use of database and spreadsheet programs.
