The U.S. Army, that is!

Thanks to these Army volunteers who worked on Saturday, 12/13/14, to clear invasive Kudzu, Chinaberry and Japanese Honeysuckle from the area surrounding Marumsco Creek on E Street in Woodbridge. This Community Development project, started in partnership with the Prince William County Public Works Department in July 2014, has engaged dozens of volunteers to remove foliage, till the soil, construct rip-rap check dams to direct water run-off and prepare for tree planting in the fall by volunteers from the Virginia Cooperative Extension office. The work is helping mitigate some curb and gutter run off before it reaches Marumsco Creek.

We appreciate the support of Transurban and Fluor for our work in Eastern Prince William County!
