The Grand Opening of the Habitat for Humanity ReStore – Manassas was held Saturday, January 30, 2016. More than a thousand people attended the Ribbon Cutting and festivities that ran throughout the day. Donors to the store were generous in the weeks leading up to the Opening and the store was fully stocked for the throngs that were eager to shop.
Forty volunteers from the Bull Run Rotary Club, Interact Club of Manassas and the Buffalo Soldiers, Northern Virginia Chapter, complemented the staff to make sure that the day ran smoothly. Two photographers from CCN – Manassas provided a full gallery of photos commemorating the day.
We’d like to thank Two Smooth Dudes, The Bone and Guapo’s for bringing their food trucks to the event so that shoppers could have a snack in the heated tent provided by Sammy’s Rentals. Hop on Pop’s MoonBounce provided additional outdoor entertainment for the kids. Inside, Lionel Ward and The New World Band and Bach to Rock Bristow Music School entertained the crowds with both lively and calming music.
Thank you to our generous refreshment donors who kept the tent stocked for the ribbon cutting and throughout the morning: Subway – Wellington Station, Cakes by Happy Eatery, Dunkin’ Donuts – Liberia Avenue, Bella Vita Restaurant, Chick-Fil-A – Sudley Manor Drive, Harris Teeter – Manassas, McDonald’s – Hastings Center, Debbie Edenhart, and Board members, Brian Smith and Aron Perkins.
