Most people think of swinging a hammer when they think about volunteering for Habitat. Due to the tremendous amount of planning and management required to build, rehab and repair homes, we have a constant need for volunteers to help with various other tasks. Many of our younger volunteers (under the age of 16) and families who’d like to volunteer together opt to help out here… You don’t need to be an expert in any of these fields to help out! There are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others.

Office/Clerical/Teaching
Workshop Leaders —
Volunteers with extensive knowledge in plumbing, electrical, heating/venting, etc. that would be willing to teach staff and perhaps conduct monthly workshops.
Office Assistance —
We are always looking for folks to assist in mailings, answer the phone, and perform other general office activities.
ReStore — Retail outlet store
ReStore donations Pickup & Delivery —
The ReStore needs volunteers to pickup donations one or two days a week usually for 2-4 hours. Sometimes you will need to assist in loading donated materials into the donations vehicle, so the ablility to safely lift 50 lbs is desired.
ReStore in-store volunteers —
